Mom on a mission

Hi! I’m Hilary Filipowicz - former NYC cool girl, current suburban stay-at-home mom of two wild and wonderful little girls.

My life has always revolved around storytelling - from a college English major to a marketing career, and now finally finding my true passion writing children’s books, I have always had stories to tell.

After I became a new mom in 2020 to a daughter who loved to read more than anything, I quickly realized that children’s books - simply put - could be better.

I spent so much time reading to her that I began to desperately long for books that had “something” in it for me too. How wonderful would it be to have meaningful messages that resonate with the grown ups who are spending so much of their time reading books to their little ones?

I longed for books that taught more than numbers, letters and characters’ names. I longed for books that introduced new ideas that would make her little brain wheels turn in bigger and bolder ways. Books that pique curiosities and start conversations. Books that respect how much more capable our little kiddos’ minds are of absorbing complex topics.

So, my books are just that - when shared together, there are messages meant to resonate with grown ups and whimsical worlds meant to spark curiosity in little minds. And I truly hope you enjoy them.
